If you would like to develop your fashion design skills,
and expand your design ideas and visualisation techniques, our Fashion Workshops are ideal.
You will gain an insight into the famous ESMOD ‘méthode’ of teaching design incorporating the mannequin & design sketching.

Program Objectives
Fashion is a continues process of creative expression through
various stimuli, sensations and references coming from many
different fields like art, design, and communication.
When designing a collection  a designer needs practical knowledge
of the fashion scene via research and development as well as
illustration skills blended with patternmaking and construction
experience to do justice with the creativity. This course will
develop your conceptual and practical skills in fashion through
practical exercises specially designed to develop the mindset and
application theory of fashion design. The module covers all the
basics as well as advanced subjects required to get into the fashion
industry through continuous assessment and feedback given during
the course.

LEVEL 1
Duration : 6 months

1: Principles of design
2: Introduction to live model drawing
3: Fashion illustration
4: Mood board development
5: Textile science
6: Learning how to stich
7: Introduction to the basics of Pattern drafting for women
8: Garment construction
9: Pattern drafting for skirts
10: Basic top design
11: Creative skirt & dress with draping technics

Tuition for 6 months: 25 000 Dhs

Terms of payment : 50% at registration - 50% 1 post dated check

LEVEL 2
Duration : 6 months
1: Fashion illustration level 2
1a: Developing personal signature style in fashion illustration
2: flat technical drawing & details specifications
3: Fashion art & range development
4: Introduction to creative research & analytical thinking
5: Developing innovative fabric surface textures & usage
6: Basics of Pattern drafting level 2
7: Garment construction level 2 -
8: Make your own skirt based on a choice of designer's creations
9: Classic blouse design based on a choice of designer's creations
10: Abaya & Sheila with a “French touch” (optional)
11: Creative dress with draping & construction technics
12: Fashion Portfolio development and presentation.

Important information for short course participants: Payment in full is required prior to commencement. Maximum numbers per class group apply. Once reached, new applicants are waitlisted until minimum numbers are met. Classes are subject to cancellation if minimum numbers are not met.
